What HTTP 414 means
Usually caused by sending large data in a query string, such as a long list of IDs or a redirect loop that keeps appending parameters. Servers typically allow URLs of around 8 KB.
How to fix a 414 error
- Move large inputs into a POST body.
- Look for redirect loops that grow the URL on each hop.
