Image Toolbox

Compress, resize and convert images on your device. Re-encode pixels to remove original EXIF and GPS metadata, or optimize an SVG file without uploading it.

Runs 100% in your browser — nothing is uploaded

Images stay on this device. Raster conversion re-encodes the pixels, removing original EXIF, GPS and camera metadata. Animated images become a single frame.

Source and output

Drop a JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or GIF here. Maximum 20 MB.

Aspect ratio is kept. Images are never enlarged. PNG ignores quality; resize or use WebP/JPEG for smaller files. Re-encoding can produce a larger file.

Result

Choose an image and convert it to inspect the result.

Prepare an image for the web

Choose WebP or JPEG, set a quality and maximum dimensions, and compare the resulting file size. The aspect ratio is preserved and smaller images are never enlarged. JPEG uses your chosen background for transparent pixels. PNG is lossless and ignores the quality slider, so resizing or changing format usually saves more space.

Remove original metadata

Raster output is generated from decoded pixels rather than copying the original container. Original camera EXIF, GPS and comments are not carried into the new file. Orientation is applied while decoding. Browser encoders can write their own basic format information. Animated inputs are flattened to one frame; the tool does not preserve animation or original color profiles.

Optimize an SVG

The SVG optimizer uses SVGO locally to simplify markup and remove comments, metadata and scripts. Review the result before replacing artwork; some optimizations can affect rendering in unusual SVG files. This is an optimizer, not a general sanitizer for untrusted HTML. Preview downloaded SVGs in a suitable image viewer.

Limits and offline use

Raster files are limited to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. Output dimensions are capped at 16,384 pixels per side. Supported input decoders and output encoders depend on your browser; a missing encoder produces an explicit error. SVG input is limited to 2 million characters. Processing runs in a worker when OffscreenCanvas is available, with a canvas fallback in other supported browsers. Save the basic tools before disconnecting to use Image Toolbox offline.

For text inside a screenshot, use Image to Text after preparing a readable crop. For a source-code card with selectable language and theme, start with Code to Image rather than taking a screen capture.
